Time Management Goals
Time management was composed of three essential processes: a goal manager, a task planner, and a scheduler. A goal manager takes into consideration one's desires and constructs a list of goals and sub goals. A planner takes this list of goals and produces a sequenced list of tasks and subtasks, and a scheduler then converts the list into timed events. All three roles in this model are influenced by such task characteristics as deadlines, degree of concentration required, and length of persistence necessary for completion. The essential feature of information
processing views of self-regulation is a negative feedback loop
wherein performance is compared and adjusted to meet the time goals
or standards.
